Artistic Philosophy:
Since 1998, Liu Qiang has been incorporating Western classical realism techniques with the humanistic spirit of Chinese meticulous painting in his oil paintings, striving to express Chinese aesthetics while integrating his own thoughts, insights, and emotions. Painting creation requires constant communication and exploration, seeking patterns in nature, learning from predecessors, and gradually confirming one’s own experiences.
Since 2009, Liu began creating Conceptual Expressionist paintings, with over twenty works in the Crumbled Series. He held a solo exhibition of his contemporary art in New London, USA, in 2013. Between 2013 and 2016, he visited the U.S. six times, exchanging ideas with American artists such as Vincent and Sanks, and participated in academic exchanges at prestigious universities including Harvard, Princeton, New York, and Boston.
In November 2015, he joined the Maiha Art Group.
