2026 Graduation Exhibition Draws Visitors from Industry and Schools

On June 5, the 2026 Undergraduate Graduation Design Exhibition of the College of Art and Design at Tianjin University of Science and Technology opened at the Hexi Campus. Titled Toward Innovation, Designing an Intelligent Future, the exhibition presented work by more than 480 graduates from five programs, including Product Design and Visual Communication Design. Projects addressed the transmission of intangible cultural heritage, urban renewal, green development and revolutionary heritage. Since opening, the exhibition has welcomed representatives of companies and groups of teachers and students from universities, primary schools and secondary schools.

Connecting Graduates with Employers

Representatives from companies including the urban renewal subsidiary of Tianjin Urban Construction Group, Tianjin Yanchen Technology Co., Ltd. and Times Office Furniture (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. visited the exhibition. They noted that projects on urban renewal, smart communities and intelligent product design aligned with areas of business development and demonstrated the students' professional training and awareness of social needs. The exhibition also gave employers and graduates an opportunity to speak directly about recruitment and employment.

Extending Art and Design Education

Visitors Across Different Levels of Education

The exhibition also attracted students and teachers from different levels of education. Representatives from Tianjin College of the University of Science and Technology Beijing and young learners from the Leyi art training organization visited the galleries. University participants exchanged ideas with TUST faculty and students, creating an opportunity for further cooperation in art education. Younger visitors explored animated shorts, culturally inspired creative products, ecological spatial plans and interactive art installations. A representative of the training organization said the visit was intended to extend aesthetic education beyond the classroom and introduce children to the ways design can shape daily life.

The graduation exhibition served both as an employment platform linking graduates with companies and as a setting for art and design education across school levels. The college plans to deepen industry-education integration, expand partnerships with employers, and use its disciplinary strengths to support public art education and social development.
