On June 24, the College of Art and Design held a meeting of Party branch secretaries. The secretary and deputy secretary of the college Party Committee, the secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee and all Party branch secretaries attended.

The meeting studied guidance given by Tianjin Party Secretary Chen Min'er during his visit to Tianjin University of Science and Technology. The college Party Committee asked each branch to apply the guidance through the college's disciplinary strengths. Priorities included closer integration of art and technology, collaborative innovation between industry and education, stronger design services for society, support for Tianjin's cultural and creative industries and urban renewal, and the preparation of highly qualified design graduates through the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education.

The meeting also made arrangements for a themed Party Day program. Party members will take part in quilling and paper umbrella painting, using art practice to reflect on the Party's founding mission and pass its traditions to a new generation.

The meeting asked branch secretaries to coordinate study and implementation and to use high-quality Party building to support the college under TUST's Pioneer Program.
